Principal's Message

Welcome to Olympic Middle School!

Here at Olympic Middle School we believe that all students can learn. Middle school is a time of growth and development. We recognize that this time can be confusing and exciting as our students begin to become more independent and grow as individuals. Our OMS mission is to promote academic growth and social responsibility. This means that we want our students to succeed in and out of the classroom and become successful adults that contribute in a positive way to their community. This year we are focused on our school wide expectations; Be Safe, Be Kind, and Work Hard. We will be teaching these expectations throughout the year in all our common areas and classrooms to help keep our school safe and build our school culture and community. This year promises to be a year of growth and change as we settle in to our new 5th and 6th grade configuration.

Our staff works hard every day to plan and prepare for the academic and social emotional needs of all our students. We are proud of our rigorous academic program and the supports and interventions we have in place to support all students in their learning. We have collaborated with ESD 113 as part of the 21st Century grant to provide an enriching and exciting afterschool program. Our afterschool intramural offerings change every 6 weeks to be able to offer a variety of topics, sports, and skill based classes. After school, tutoring and homework club is a part of every session to ensure that students can access academic support afterschool if needed.

We value our relationships families and want to work as a team to support our students. Our teachers are available via email or by appointment, we offer in person conferences twice a year for all students. Our friendly office staff is always available to answer any questions you may have. If you have a concern, please contact your child’s teacher directly, if the concern persists, please contact Madelene Cundall our Assistant Principal or myself and we would be happy to discuss and problem solve your concern.

I am delighted to be part of the Olympic Middle School community and it is my privilege to serve as your Principal. Thank you for your commitment to ensuring that your child attends school every day. Together we can achieve a year of growth and achievement for our students!

Warm Regards,
Chelsea Brady
